5. What hardware and software is required to get started?
Scanner, FTP Server, Firewall, VPN Software and Internet Connectivity are all you need to get started.
 
6. I already have staff that can perform these functions. Why will working      with your company be more cost effective?
Our clients are able to leverage our personnel and technology infrastructure by sharing these costly but critical resources. We train our medical billers and technology staff to use the most efficient business information processes and pass the savings on to our customers. You also gain access to workflow management (our patented state of the art Vision Information Management System (VIMS)) technology that would be cost-prohibitive to install in-house.
 
7. How do I get started?
We use the following 4-step model to transition smoothly and efficiently:
Business Analysis:
We meet with your billing department to identify your company's needs, and match those needs with the talents of our staff. We'll learn your system and determine how we need to customize our process for you.
 
Pilot:
We'll put systems in place to get you on-line with our offices here and in India. Then we'll take a 2-3 month trial run to learn your volume requirements, ensure the compatibility of our systems, and to make sure you're comfortable.
 
Implementation:
Here's where we get down to it - you start scanning in those reports, and we start coding and billing.
 
Management Services:
We'll keep a constant eye on profitability and grow with your company, whether it be acquisitions, HMO contracts, or just more patients.

8. How do we ensure service delivery continuity?
At Vision, we give top priority for the continuous functioning of our facility. We have put in place contingency plans for even worst–case scenarios that might result in disruption of services. We at Vision are confident that our well-conceived business model will enable us to continue to support clients without disruption.

We have diversified our risks by:
  • Building in multiple levels of redundancies in our infrastructure and
    operating model.
  • Telecommunications: Vision has multiple links between India and the US for Internet connectivity and voice communications from different leading vendors
  • Power: Vision runs its technology infrastructure on UPS hence eliminating any downtime due to short power interruptions. In the case of longer power interruption, up to a week, Vision has a generator set that runs on Diesel. We always have enough Diesel supply in our facility to be able to run our operations for seven days. If it goes beyond this, we are able to replenish our fuel supply within three hours.
  • Global Services Delivery Model: As part of our customer centric, Global services delivery model, Vision has been exploring various alternative destinations to set up redundant facilities.
