Training |
In developing its training program, Vision has taken a collaborative
approach. Our onsite implementation and transition teams, including
internal trainers, team leaders, account managers, and subject-specific
experts learn the particular nuances of each client's business.
Vision's comprehensive continuous training program, tailored
specifically for offshore healthcare transaction processing,
is divided into five modules:
|
Module
1 - Core Training Program:
All employees participate in Vision's Core Training
Program, an in-depth introduction to healthcare and claims processing
developed entirely from Vision's internal knowledge base. Classroom
sessions and computer-aided programs cover a broad spectrum
of topics, including healthcare industry trends, insurance types
and plan specifics, claims processing life cycle, terminology,
etc.
Module 2 - Client
Specific Process Training:
Following the Core Training Program, Vision trains
its associates on their specific roles, based on the information
garnered by the account manager and the subject-specific expert
during the course of the site visit. During classroom training,
the trainer also acts as a mentor to each participant and
is available for one-on-one coaching. The trainer also conducts
several assessments throughout the training session to determine
individual's training needs.

Module
3 - On-the-Job Training:
Experienced team leaders and agents act as mentors to the
associates during on-the-job training and guide them to final
certification. As associates become knowledgeable, based on
scores and feedback from the mentors, they are inducted into
the regular production and quality control cycle. Employees'
work is checked and they are monitored closely until they achieve
our stringent quality norms and a steady level of productivity.
Module 4 - Certification
(Post-Training Activity):
Our computer based and instructor-led training methods
lend themselves to constant verification of skills. "Skill
checks" or tests are administered after each new skill
is presented and practiced to constantly reinforce knowledge
of all the skills necessary for a career at Vision. Periodically,
we administer an up-to-date comprehensive certification/re-certification
test of all employees.
Module 5 - On-going Training
(Post-Training Activity):
Ongoing improvements include improving the effectiveness
of current training, updating program changes, making additions
to the training program, and identifying individual associate
proficiency issues. We determine the improvements necessary
by performing a needs analysis and we retrain and update all
employees on an ongoing basis.
